Coming from a long line of Bordeaux wine merchants, Paulin Calvet has today brought the skills and experience he acquired in Libourne at the Jean-Pierre Moueix merchant house to Picque Caillou.
In the company of wine-growing experts Christian Moueix and Jean-Claude Berrouet, Paulin Calvet was able to discover over time the subtleties of the vine-growing methods and vinification techniques practised by these two great Bordeaux wine professionals.
Having arrived in 2006 to give Picque Caillou new impetus, he is now at an age where maturity dictates that taste is more refined and precise.
The search to bring out such qualities as pedigree, elegance, purity of flavour, fruit character and balance is the hallmark of the work of Paulin Calvet and his team in each new vintage.
